What proof of address documents can I submit?

This article explains which documents OKX accepts as proof of address, so you can complete your identity verification without delays.

You only need to submit one of the supported documents below. It must show your legal name and current residential address, and it must be complete, clear, official, and unaltered.

Accepted documents

  • Statement or account confirmation from a regulated bank, financial institution, neobank, or crypto-asset service provider — Issued within the last 6 months.

  • Utility bill — Issued within the last 6 months. Home internet, cable TV, landline telephone, gas, water, and electricity bills are accepted. Mobile phone bills are not accepted.

  • Lease contract or agreement — The lease must run for at least 6 months, have at least 2 months remaining, and be signed by the landlord and tenant. An indefinite lease may be accepted.

  • Mortgage statement from a regulated financial institution — No fixed issue-date limit applies, but the issuer must be verifiable on the applicable official register.

  • Government correspondence — Issued within the last 6 months; examples include pension, unemployment-benefit, tax, or housing-benefit correspondence.

  • Tax form, tax statement, or tax return — Issued within the last 6 months.

  • National identity card, residence permit, or driving licence showing full name, photograph, and address — Accepted while valid. Another POA may be requested when further verification is required.

  • Official conduct certificate — Issued within the last 6 months.

  • Insurance document from an authorised insurer — Issued within the last 6 months; home, vehicle, personal, and medical insurance may be accepted.
