How do I open an account with OKX Singapore?
You don't need to be a Singapore citizen to open an account with OKX Singapore, and you don't need to live there either. Alongside Singapore citizens and residents, we can support clients resident in other eligible jurisdictions.
That opens the door to several groups, including foreign nationals, professionals and founders in the middle of relocating, family office principals setting up in Singapore, and institutions incorporated outside Singapore.
Not sure whether your situation qualifies? Email international@okg.com and our team will answer any questions you may have. Provide the following information in your email: • Your country of residence, and any details of upcoming changes in country of residence if applicable • Whether you're applying as an individual or an entity, plus entity type and country of incorporation • Confirmation that you are able to invest a minimum of USD 50,000 in deposits or investments with OKX |

Foreign nationals already living in Singapore
This is simpler than most people expect. If you hold an Employment Pass, S Pass, ONE Pass, EntrePass, Personalised Employment Pass, Dependant's Pass or PR status, you're treated as a Singapore resident for onboarding. Your passport can be from anywhere.
You'll verify with your passport or NRIC/FIN, and proof of your Singapore residential address if we ask for it. If you have Singpass, both verification and any later Accredited Investor application are faster.
If all of your documents are foreign-issued and you don't yet have Singpass or a local address, email international@okg.com and we'll tell you what will work.
Moving to Singapore for work, business or residency
If you're relocating on a ONE Pass, EntrePass, Employment Pass, or through the Global Investor Programme, you can start the conversation before you land. Email international@okg.com with your expected arrival and the pass you're applying for.
Two things worth knowing. Your eligibility while you're still resident overseas may differ from your eligibility once you have a Singapore address, so it can be worth waiting for your pass. And if you're bringing a business or a family office with you, the entity and the individual are separate applications that can run in parallel.
Foreign founders and business owners incorporating in Singapore
A Singapore-incorporated company can have foreign directors and shareholders. The entity onboards through institutional verification rather than individual verification, and you'll go through Know Your Business checks including beneficial ownership.
Document sourcing across jurisdictions is where these applications tend to take longer: foreign-issued incorporation documents for parent entities, proof of address for overseas directors, certified translations. Email international@okg.com with your structure before you start and we'll send you the checklist that matches it, so you're not guessing at what's needed.
Family offices and their principals
If you're setting up or running a single family office in Singapore, there are two applications worth running together: the entity through Know Your Business (KYB) identity verification, and the principal through individual verification. Both can then apply for Accredited Investor status, which is what opens up the wider product range.
A corporation qualifies as an Accredited Investor with net assets above S$10 million based on its latest audited financial statements. For individuals the thresholds are lower.
Institutions incorporated outside Singapore
Funds, proprietary trading firms, market makers, corporate treasuries, payment companies and brokers all onboard through KYB. Whether we can onboard your entity depends on where it's incorporated, its structure, and which products you need.
Email international@okg.com with your entity type, country of incorporation and the products you're after. Flagging API, OTC or block trading needs early means we can line up the right coverage rather than handing you off later.
Why do I need to verify my identity?
Verification protects your account and assets, and it lets OKX SG Pte Ltd meet its obligations as a MAS-licensed Major Payment Institution. It also keeps fraud and other illegal activity off the platform. You can deposit, trade and withdraw once verification is complete.
