Market rules
This market resolves to "Yes" if the listed national team secures third place at the 2026 World Cup — that is, by winning the third-place match (playoff). In all other cases, it resolves to "No". Should it at any point become impossible for the listed team to claim third place — for example, if the team is knocked out of the tournament or otherwise falls out of contention for third — this market resolves to "No". Where the outcome involves a tie, resolution will follow whichever team is officially recognized by the tournament's governing body as the third-place finisher. If third place is officially awarded to more than one team, the team whose listed name ranks first alphabetically will be used for resolution. Should the 2026 World Cup be cancelled, be postponed beyond 11:59 PM ET on August 2, 2026, or otherwise conclude without a declared third-place team (for instance, if no third-place match takes place), this market resolves to "Other". Resolution will rely primarily on official information released by the tournament's governing body or event organizers, and a consensus of credible reporting may be consulted where necessary.
